Chapter one

I’m done with the first chapter and I liked it a lot. It was so recognizable! It made me think of my childhood.

I remamber when I was around 12 years old and my curiosity and amazement hit the roof. The reason for this was that a single man moved in the last house on my block. We lived in a small conservative town where people would even gossip about someone burping in public. So you can imagine the gossip that started when they found out that he was a hippy. A men that let his garden grow freely. A men that did’nt care which direction the wind took his hair. A men that knew that he was different, and still chose to be himself.

And as almost human nature and instinct, people feared what they did not knew. and we where all forbidden to even come near is house. But as we all know; there is no more provoking thing then something that is forbidden.

So after a couple of weeks when the rumors were getting more extreme, we had to take a look. We had to see with our own eyes what the fuss was all about. At that moment I thought that they where right and that he was scary. But looking back I think he was the one I needed to look up to. Instead of a community that judges people by appearance.

What did the first chapter make you thing of?
